Ella Merriman Design
Ella Merriman is a designer who finds inspiration in the randomness of everyday life. Her process is led by making and experimentation and she has a strong belief in having a physical connection to all of her pieces. Her Art Foundation at Falmouth University gave her a creative freedom and she likes to experiment using a wide variety of materials. A BA in Furniture and Product Design helped refine her making skills and design process so that she is able to produce original innovative designs for a highly eclectic mix of projects. These include Carluccio’s pasta, paper-bag backpacks and aluminium shelving. Internships at Faye Toogood and Sanitov Studio have informed her practice in the context of industry and working for the British Council at the Venice Architecture Biennale has further enhanced her awareness of design on a global stage.
